Profile of ANIL SHAH, MD

Dr. Anil Shah is a double board certified facial plastic surgeon who has been in practice since 2005. Dr. Shah is internationally recognized for his work in the field of plastic surgery including having written over 50 scientific articles and is a clinical instructor at University of Chicago and former instructor at NYU. He has been featured on various publications including the Chicago Tribune, WGN, Vogue, Telemundo and others for his work in hair restoration and facial plastic surgery.

Part of Dr. Shah’s practice has focused on cutting edge treatments. His work in hair restoration is no different. Previously, he his office has used handheld FUE devices and noted a higher rate of transection (grafts cut so that they would not survive). In his quest for improving hair restoration for patients, he began using the ARTAS and noticed immediately that the quality of hair grafts was improved and that the number of transected grafts (nonviable) was decreased.
