Dr. Turowski had his work cut out for him. I had a breast reduction in 1990 and he performed a second reduction and lift with very small implants 4 weeks ago. I am extremely pleased with the results so far. I still have typical post surgical swelling due to the technique he had to use because of my previous surgery. I would say that overall, it was a fantastic experience. Both breasts have healed nicely, and he was able to keep the integrity of the blood flow to both nipples which was a big concern of mine. My issue was with the management of my expectations for post op and more importantly, the delayed response time from the nurse when I had issues and concerns. I felt very ill after my drains were removed and was swelling a lot. I sent her a message and a few hours later, I tried the office and they said she left for the day. I messaged her again telling her I felt lousy and needed to talk...it took her over 6 hours to reach out to me. I tried to call her back and she didn't answer. Other questions were answered 2-12 and sometimes 24 hours later. I understand she is busy with other responsibilities and patients, so I would suggest they add a post op nurse to handle just post op patients. Reading the packet is not the same as reassurance from a professional when you are recovering from a major surgery. She was wonderful and sweet when I saw her in person, just delayed in responding when sending messages which I was instructed to do if I had concerns.
