Jan 11, 2026The good things about this place: Dr. Agnes Chang (though I was not able to see her the second time I went), and the easy prescription delivery service that they use.
Bad things (summary here, read below for more): Do not go to them for wart removal etc.! Your doctor can probably do it for free! Also, DON'T trust them on removal since you might scar! (Sorry for the fear-mongering exclamation points, they're there more out of annoyance.)
The bad happened recently: I asked about a skin tag which was changing colors and which I was concerned about. She suggested freezing it off and, being dumb, I signed the waiver without thinking of the cost. It was medical and should be covered - or so I thought. Whatever way they reported it, it was NOT covered. I ended up having to pay over $100 when I went in for the follow up, for which I had to pay yet another co-pay just for her to see that the freezing did not work (/it did not fall off). I complained about the cost, and she still highly pressured me to try to remove it, this time by snipping. I asked her there was a medical reason that she wanted to do this, and she said no, so I left - but I had to ask (she wouldn't have volunteered this information). Also, by the way, the freezing that I paid for was for between 1 to 10 warts... so shouldn't that be covering a second round since there was only one?
In my next visit to my doctor, I complained about this, and she was surprised and said that she could just do it and wrap it up into the visit with a code not needing me to pay anything extra. I thought about this (in annoyance), and the next time I returned, I said "sure, let's do it." Upon closer inspection, she said, "Hm, I'm not surprised freezing didn't work, I don't think that could be frozen off. And also, if I snip it you're likely to scar, so I don't recommend it, actually."
If I had listened to the pushy dermatologist, I might have a scar on my face from a skin tag removal which overall likely would have cost me over $200. No, thank you.
I've emailed to complain but haven't heard back. Very disappointing.
P.S. Other bad things - I asked for skin product recommendations and she barely looked at me before quickly giving me a list. Didn't feel personalized at all.
