Jan 14, 2026I think this is just a money making machine. I made an appointment to have a skin tag removed. When I arrived, I was told that my insurance would not cover that and I needed to pay cash. But with the cash payment I could have several other things addressed. None of which was bothering me - but they were pointed out. Quite a lot of pressure was put on to pay the cash payment. I declined but was informed I still had to pay my co-pay since I saw the assistant who did nothing but pressure me into paying the cash payment. I went home, immediately called another dermatologist in the area. I've been in, had my skin tag removed and my insurance paid for it just fine. Waste of co-pay to go to Amy Curtis. Plus don't pay cash for her "extra" services. Your insurance may easily pay. Check with someone else before you pay.
