Dr. Mele's expertise in the field made me feel very comfortable to move forward with the otoplasty that I had been dreaming of getting done for many years now. I researched many plastic surgeons in my area, (sacramento) but realized most of them only focused on butt lifts and breast. I needed someone that focused on otoplasty and had plenty of experience. I found Dr. Mele after typing "highest rated plastic surgeons in the bay area", and after reading all the awesome reviews from previous clients, I decided to book my own consultation. During the appointment, I noticed he was very passionate about doing this type of procedures, and he told me he was doing multiple otoplasties every month. That gave me the confidence to go ahead and schedule my procedure. His staff was also very accomodating, and they walked me through the whole process step by step. The surgery was a complete success, only took about an hour and a half, and the recovery time was about a month. I was super happy to see the results once we took off the bandages, and knew was going to look even better after the bruising disappeared. It has been exactly a year since my surgery, and to this day, I am completely satisfied and delighted by his work. I used to be very self conscious about my protruding ears as a teen, and even as a young adult, and now that I'm 28 years old, I wish I would have done this sooner. I am so confident to speak in public settings, I am more social around others, and especially feel like a normal person as I no longer have to feel self conscious and assume that people see me as the guy with the big ears. Now, I cut my hair more often, I style it, and feel extremely confident to take pictures, meet other people and just live a more fulfilling life. I hope Dr. Mele understands how his work affects the people that he helps, and how he has given me the opportunity to live a new life where I no longer feel like people are judging me for my appearance. people tell me that I'm a good looking man all the time, and that is something that I'm still getting used to.
