Jan 5, 2026We are in the ATL area for a little staycation and I got to book in a appointment with truffles medispa. We were greeted and Front staff seemed super friendly and facility looked clean. I had my facial with KJohnson I wasn’t sure if I wanted a dermabrasion and Enzyme peel or the hydra facial. She advised me to get the hydra facial and said it’s an all around Maschine that will do a dermabrasion, deep cleaning, peel and serum. Okay so I went for it; I should have asked further about the process. It’s a pretty aggressive suction machine, which I wasn’t a fan off because I have already sensitive skin and broken capillaries/ strong suction like this can cause damage. Which I mentioned to her after the treatment was done and she said, I should have told her that I felt like the machine was too strong because she could have adjusted the strength.. well I’m not the professional who knows anything about this machine. I think a professional should look at someone’s skin first and ask questions, then decide on a great treatment. Also I’m a fan of manual extraction, I didn’t feel like the machine did it’s justice. I still have some whiteheads on my cheek, I felt like the machine didn't extract those like a manual extraction could have done. Also no equipment nie products were in the room, so before we started she had to get the machine and products. The problem with having nothing in the room is that when setting up everything, there’s a lot to get/ think about having to bring to the room. And because not all products were in the room, she forgot a few things and had to leave the room a total of three times during our session. 1. To get a headband, 2. She started on the glycolic part of the treatment and half face done she said to me her glycolic tube is empty and needed to get more (again with glycolic already on one side of my face). 3. She left because some other product was missing and she had to get it from another room.
This treatment usually costs 200$, this months its 50$ off.. and honestly I don’t even feel like this was worth 100$. Pretty unprofessional.
