I just had my first baby at hinsdale hospital and I can not say enough good things about my L&D nurse Ali ! I was so nervous and scared and she made me feel so much better I was strongly against the thought of taking any pain meds and when it came down to it she didn’t judge me for taking the epidural and she sat right there with me and held my hand , she even sat in the bathroom with me to help me relax in a warm shower before deciding to take the epidural to help me with the pain . Every time she had to leave the room for a quick minute for any reason I just thought omg I can’t do this she was just amazing with me even though I had my mom and boyfriend there I literally needed nurse Ali in the room . I swear because of her my birth experience was not that bad at all she made me feel very strong and every time I said I can’t do this she was right there to encourage me and when it was time to push she stayed by my side the whole time when my daughter was born she even made her the cutest little hat ever with a bow that I literally had her wear every day until recently because it no longer fits now it’s in her baby memory box . Nurse Ali was just the sweetest and I was so comfortable with her she even stayed with me as her shift was coming to an end to help me urinate after my delivery instead of just brushing me off in the next nurse . She really cares about her job and she’s an amazing person I literally cried when I was put in the mother and baby room cause that meant she was no longer my nurse . She was the best and if I decide to have more children I hope she’s my nurse again ! I absolutely love her ! I told everyone about her everyone has labor horror stories about the birth and their nurses and thanks to nurse ali I have an amazing birthing story to tell .
Myself and my beautiful daughter Harlow can not thank her enough for her help !
Also the emergency room staff is awesome 4 days after delivering my daughter I needed up with a fever and had to go to the hospital and the nurses were so sweet I was crying hysterically because I had to leave my 4 day old baby at home and I didn’t want any test etc and the nurses were so sweet and hugged me and made me feel so comfortable!
